Frequently asked questions
Is Sedecordle practice mode unlimited?
Yes. Practice gives you a brand-new set of sixteen words every time you press New game, with no daily limit. The words are picked at random from the same answer list as the daily puzzle, so practice is the best way to warm up or test new opening words without any pressure.
Does practice mode affect my daily streak?
No. Practice games keep their own statistics, separate for every word length and mode, and they never touch your daily streak. You can lose as many practice games as you like while you try new strategies, and your daily record stays exactly as it was before.
Can I change the word length in practice?
Yes. Use the number buttons above the boards to switch between 4 and 11 letters; five letters is the classic game. Every length has its own answer list and its own statistics. Longer words give more letters per guess but are harder to narrow down, so the challenge changes a lot.
Can I play Sedec-order or Savior as practice games?
Yes. The mode buttons above the boards switch the practice game to Sedec-order, where boards open one at a time, or to Savior, where four guesses are already played. Each mode keeps separate practice statistics, so you can train for the daily versions of both modes as often as you want.
Are practice words different from the daily puzzle?
Practice games pick sixteen random words from the same answer list, so now and then you will meet a word that is also in today's daily puzzle. You never get the daily set itself in practice, and every practice game is shuffled fresh at the moment you start it.
