Reporting a word

If an answer is offensive, obscure or simply not a word in your language, please tell us. The easiest way is the Report a word link on the end screen of any game: it opens an email that already contains the puzzle and its sixteen words. You can also write to us directly; include the language, the word and the date or the puzzle number.

We fix word lists quickly. A blocked word is removed from future answers in the next daily update, and the change applies to every mode and word length in that language. Puzzles that were already published stay as they were, so the archive and the answer pages always match what people played.

A word you expected is missing

The list of accepted guesses comes from open-source spelling dictionaries. If a real word is rejected, send it to us with the language and, if you can, a link to a dictionary entry. We add missing words in batches.

New languages and translations

We're adding languages in phases, starting with 15. If you would like to help check a word list or improve a translation in your language, we'd love to hear from you. Native speakers who spot an awkward sentence on the site help everyone who plays in that language.

Bugs and accessibility

If something doesn't work, tell us which page, browser and device you used, and what you expected to happen. Problems with screen readers, keyboard navigation or color contrast are especially welcome: we want every player to be able to enjoy all sixteen boards, with or without a mouse.

Press and partnerships

For press questions, embedding the game or other partnerships, use the same address and put a short subject line on your email so it reaches the right person.
