About Sedecordle Wordle
Sedecordle Wordle is a free word game made by the DafontStyle team. We play a lot of multi-board word games, and we wanted one that works just as well in Spanish, Polish or Ukrainian as it does in English, with daily hints for the days when sixteen boards get the better of you.
What we built
Sixteen Wordle boards, 21 guesses, a new daily puzzle at midnight in your time zone, and unlimited practice games. On top of that there are Sedec-order, where the boards open one at a time, and Savior, where four guesses are already played for you. You can play with words from 4 to 11 letters, replay any past daily from the archive, and make custom games with your own sixteen words to send to friends.
Every day, each of the 15 languages also gets an answers page with three levels of hints, the full list of words with short meanings, and links to the days before. Those pages are written as plain HTML, so they load quickly and work on any device, even with JavaScript switched off.
How the word lists are made
Each language has two lists. The answers are common words, picked by how often they appear in a large collection of film and TV subtitles, with offensive words and obvious loanwords filtered out. The list of accepted guesses is much bigger and comes from open-source spelling dictionaries, so you can type almost any real word even if it will never be an answer.
A script builds both lists the same way for every language, and the daily puzzles walk through a shuffled answer list so that no word comes back until the whole list has been used. Once a day has been published, its words are recorded and never change. The sources and their licenses are on the credits page.
Privacy by design
There are no accounts. Your games, streaks and settings stay in your own browser, and you can export them whenever you like. Read the privacy policy for the details.
